2nd Day Wednesday

Trip to Echmiadzin: Hripsime church, 7th c. (10h-13h)

Echmiadzin Mother Cathedral, Museum in Cathedral.Etchmiadzin Cathedral. The cathedral is one of the ancient churches in the Christian world; included in the UNESCO World Heritage List (2000).It is the center of Armenian Apostolic Church. It was founded in 301 A.D. by St. Gregory the Illuminator. Later, it was rebuilt and currently it stands as a complex including the Cathedral, Spiritual Academy, residency of the Catholicos of all Armenians, Synod of Armenian Church and a library.
The museum of the Cathedral, located behind the Altar, has collection of religious artifacts about Holy Mass, subjects made of gold, silver, precious stones, decorations, colossal silver boiler for making the myrrh and legendary Holy spear.

3rd day Thursday

Trip to Lake Sevan, (10h-14h)
Lake Sevan is one of the wonders in Armenia. The blue lake is one of the greatest high mountainous freshwater lakes of Eurasia. On a clear and sunny day, the water is often of a deep turquoise color.

Haghartsin is a 13th century Armenian monastery that was built between the 10th and 14th centuries under the control of Bagratuni Dynasty and is situated in the town of Dilijan,

4th day Friday

Khor –Virap,(10h-14h)
This exciting tour will bring you to the holy place of imprisonment of St. Gregory the Illuminator accused by Armenian king of preaching Christianity. He stayed here in the small dungeon for 13 years without any food, neighbored with scorpions and snakes. However the punishment from on high came down and King Trdat turned into swine. After king repented, he came back to human appearance and freed St. Gregory. In that same period, in 301 A.D. the king was christened with the people near the river Aratsan. Christianity was adopted as a state religion throughout Armenia.

Trip to Geghard and Garni (Duration with lunch 6hours) (10h-16h)
GeghardGeghard -cave monastery, 13c.

Geghard dates back to XII-XIII centuries and presents itself a unique caved temple. The word Geghard means “holy spear” in the honor of the long-preserved spear, the same spear that pierced the body of crucified Christ.

Trip to Garni,

Tour to Garni, pagan temple 1c.
One of the most interesting places to visit during your trip to Armenia is the Pagan temple devoted to the God of Sun - Myhr in Garni. According to some cuneiform records in Greek language, the temple was built in 77AD by King Trdat (Arshakid Dynasty). The temple is Greco-Roman style with characteristic pillars. It stands proudly on a rocky ridge with the deep canyon presenting a beautiful view. The temple was a summer residence for Arshakid dynasty.
